There are many factors that can cause heat-related illness. Some of these are:-

  • Dehydration – Our body temperature should be around 37°C. However, our body’s 70 to 80% of heat loss by sweating and it gets cool itself. But, if your body is dehydrated then they don’t sweat as much and their body temperature rises which causes heat-related illness.
  • Hot and crowded areas – While attending events such as concerts, dance parties, and sporting events in hot or crowded conditions may cause heat illness.
  • Lack of airflow – If you are working in hot, confined, or poorly ventilated areas there are more chances to get heat illness.
  • Sun exposure:- Direct sun rays especially on hot days, between 11 am and 3 pm can cause heat-related illness.

How to Stay Cool In the Heat?

You should keep yourself cool to keep yourself away from heat-related illnesses. Stay in an area where air keeps circulating around you. Also, use a fan or air conditioning if possible.
